The ‘Gospel Train’ is coming

CORNING — The “Gospel Train” is coming Sunday, Sept. 23, to First Christian Church of Corning. The church will be beginning a new Sunday School year calling all of God’s children, from ages 3 years old and up to “get on board.” It will be every Sunday at 10 a.m. at the church, located at 1421 Marin St.
There will be prizes for first-timers, weekly prizes for memory verses, etc. etc.
The group is a congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and have been worshiping in Corning for over 100 years.
Worship, with Holy Communion, is at 11 a.m. Sunday. They meet on Wednesday evenings for praise and prayer. They have been doing a lot of work on their building this year so that unless Jesus returns first, they can be around for another 100 years.
They also have an active women’s fellowship (CWF) which meets every second Thursday of the month for Bible study, work on mission projects of the church, and of course, refreshments.
