Gideons to take First Christian pulpit

CORNING - First Christian Church of Corning welcomes George Keck of the Gideons to the pulpit this week. He will give a message on the work of the Gideons but also tell of a mission trip to Mexico that he took earlier this year.
There will also be an offering for the work of Gideons.
Following this week's service is the monthly fellowship potluck dinner, to which everyone is welcome.
The services are each week at 1421 Marin St. Worship with holy communion is at 11 a.m. On Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m., there is praise and prayer. The singing is accompanied by organist/pianist Donald Lund.
This week, the women begin their meetings again after having the summer off. They will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday, and every second Thursday, for study, fellowship, and refreshments.
Sunday school will start again on Sept. 23.
