RBUHS to hold baccalaureate service

The community is invited to share in a Baccalaureate Service for the Graduating Class of 2007 of the Red Bluff Union High School on Sunday, June 3, at 7 p.m.

This special time of worship will be held in the Performing Arts Center on the High School campus.

The annual Baccalaureate Service is hosted by the Red Bluff Ministerial Association and is planned with a committee of graduating seniors. The following senior students served on this year¹s committee: Tim Bohrer, Leilania Brochu, Tara Duggins, Steven Ferguson, Tim Perrell, Jenneca Johnson, Morgan McFadyen, and Brock Van Dyke. Mr. Kevin Penner is the high school staff advisor and Pastor Mark Franklin represents the Ministerial Association.

This time of worship will be led by a student group of musicians: Bohrer will play guitar; Laurel Siemens will play fiddle. They will be joined by vocalists Nella Schnase and Brock VanDyke.

Pastor Mike Schnase of First Baptist Church, Pastor John Bohrer of Antelope Home Fellowship, and Pastor Gil DiLaO of Calvary Chapel will offer words of encouragement and challenge to the graduates. Jon Jones, R.B.H.S. teacher of many of the graduates, will offer his reflections of the class from the last four years.

Students from the planning committee will participate in the reading of scripture passages and sharing of personal testimonies.

The Baccalaureate Service is a special time of worship and spiritual challenge to the graduating seniors.
The Red Bluff Ministerial asociation recognizes the importance of this traditional service and appreciates the opportunity to sponsor this ministry to the local students.
