NVB Church hosts Christmas boutique

North Valley Baptist Church will hold its annual Christmas Boutique on Saturday, Dec. 1 in the church fellowship hall, according to Pastor Dave Lamberson.
The time will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Anne Whiteman, chairman of the event, said "the public is welcome. We will be serving a cornbread and chili lunch for $3 and there will be lots of goodies to purchase for dessert."

The annual event showcases crafts and baked goods, candy, jellies and jams, and specialty items including Christmas decorations, all provided by members of the congregation.
Jeannie Fletcher is in charge of the lunch booth.

Christmas boutique in Tehama

TEHAMA - The Tehama Assembly of God Church, Third and D streets, will have a Christmas boutique on Friday and Saturday, November 9th and10th. The Women's Ministries invites the public to attend the annual Christmas sale in the church annex. There are lots of handmade items and homemade baked goods.
The boutique will go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Lunch is available.

RED BLUFF - Vineyard Women's Ministry will host a holiday boutique from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 10th at 738 Walnut St.
The public is invited to attend.

First Christian Church bazaar Saturday

CORNING — The Christian Women’s Fellowship of First Christian Church will be hold their annual Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale today.
There will be many handcrafted gift items, holiday decorations, and of course, food. Much more than just “baked” goods, all reasonably priced.
The sale will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church social hall located in the rear of the church complex located at 1421 Marin St.
The proceeds of the sale go to support the many missionary projects of the group.
This year, along with the bazaar, one of our members, Mildred Swinington, has graciously donated a “never been used” 68-year-old crocheted bedspread, which will be raffled off. Tickets can be obtained at the bazaar for $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held after the close of the bazaar, you do not need to be present to win.

Rummage sale set for Saturday

CORNING - St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Marin and First streets, will hold a rummage sale Saturday at the parish hall. The sale will run from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Senior Warden Terri Jamison says there are many items including books, clothes, pottery and knickknacks. Proceeds go to support the church mission.

Details: The women of the Presbyterian Church will hold their fall rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, Sept. 6. The event will be at the church, 838 Jefferson St. There are no hold over of items, so everything is new for this sale. Monies received go toward mission project. Everyone is invited to this two-day event.

Ecuadorian dinner and silent auction scheduled

The Red Bluff Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 738 Walnut St, will be hosting an Ecuadorian dinner and silent auction on Sunday, from 5-8 p.m., in their cafe.

This event is to provide support to the orphanage, For His Children, Para Sus Ninos, in Quito, Ecuador.

The dinner will feature a four course meal with examples of traditional Ecuadorian fare. The menu will be a selection of traditional favorite dishes brought back from past mission team members.

This will be the fourth time the church has sponsored the dinner and auction, and the event grows in popularity each year. The silent auction has included in the past many hand crafted items such as paintings by well-known local artists, quilts, weekend getaways, and baskets donated by many local merchants. The auction has been competitive and fun.

The Red Bluff Vineyard has been committed to For His Children for eight years. FHC was started by Clark and Melinda Vaughn, who moved to Quito, Ecuador, from Mammoth Lakes in 1990.

They currently have 45-50 children under their care, most of them infants and toddlers. Approximately one third of the children at FHC have moderate to severe special needs.

The missionary team from the Vineyard share the belief with FHC that we are to "love His children," and support children who have suffered the greatest of all traumas, separation from family.

While in Ecuador members of the team provide medical care, construction projects, love and moral support to the staff and children, and minister to the spiritual needs of the Vaughns as well as local residents.

Many of the past team members have returned home having experienced life changing events while at FHC.

The church has extended an invitation to everyone in the community to join us and be a part of this experience.Come to the dinner, participate in the auction, visit with team members, view photos, and enjoy the fun while supporting this great cause.

This event grows each year and seating is limited. Dinner tickets are $15 for adults and $7.50 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the Vineyard or by calling 527-2449.

Each team member pays for their own travel and expenses, therefore all the proceeds from this event go directly to fund work projects at FHC.

Community Baptist slates taco feed

RED BLUFF - Community Baptist will hold a taco feed fundraiser dinner Saturday, May 19 to raise money for a mission trip to Mexico.

The dinner will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the church at 598 Round-Up Avenue.

Dinner tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under and includes drinks and dessert.

A raffle will also be held during the evening.

Christmas boutique & lunch fundraiser

North Valley Baptist Church of Red Bluff is holding an annual Christmas Boutique from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at 345 David Ave. A portion of the proceeds will be for the church building fund.
A homemade chili and cornbread lunch is planned, according to Tony Dahl.
There will also be nachos offered.
Members of the church are providing the items for sale. Baked goods, crafts, Christmas decorations, art work, toys, white elephants, gifts, baby blankets, wrapping specialties, crochet, knitting, fudge and peanut brittle candy are among the items that will be offered.

The Los Molinos Methodist Church 15th annual pre-thanksgiving bake sale will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Mill Creek Shopping Center on Highway 99E, Los Molinos.

Yard Sale to benefit Bethel youth

Mission Fundraiser

Zion Christian Ministries will hold a car wash from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Without Boarders Restaurant Parking Lot on Antelope Boulevard.
Funds raised from this car wash will help offset the cost of a mission trip to Kamchatka, Russia. A team of six, including Pastor Joshua John McKim, will travel for 16 days.
